First of all I want to say thank you to all the hotels, brands and agencies which made this trip possible.
I've attended Fashion Week in Berlin before but I always wanted to attend other Fashion Weeks all over the world. My dream came true just 6 months after starting my blog which is insane!
The entire trip was such a wonderful experience.
Matt and I began our trip at 5 a.m. on saturday, well prepared with our suitcase from Hauptstadtkoffer. Within 4 hours we had already gone to London and stopped at our first hotel. During our trip we had three different hotels. The citizenM was our first stop.
As we entered the hotel we felt so welcomed. The atmosphere is different from normal hotels. There is no real reception, so you can check in on your own. And the smell, guys that´s amazing. I can´t really say what it is but it smells so good. The citizenM is a lifestyle hotel, low price category for London but its directly at the tube Station The Hill so you need only 4 stations to get to The Strand where Fashion Week is. After we checked in we went to our room which was on the 5th floor. When we first saw the room it was actually small. But it fits to the concept of the Hotel. Theres not that much space for your luggage but the space you have is perfectly used. And the highlight is the iPad with which you can control everything in the room. The light, the TV, the heating. You really get that smart home feeling
Shortly after arrival at the hotel we had to hurry to get to our first catwalk show under the free sky. At St. James´s John Smedley showcased his new collection.
Luckily, we sat behind David Gandy and Darren Kennedy the photographers, so we appeared in many Journalist`s Social Media posts and on GQ's instagram page. The presentation of Blood Brother was our second invitation of the day. After that presentation I get photographed by an asian girl who works for Shortlist, which is an english online fashion magazine. I was flattered very much, that others liked my style.
The next day was fun but the evening flew by. Sunday was really stressful. We had four shows and in the morning an appointment with the brand Minute&Azimut. A really nice watch brand. They have a really sad but great story. After the dad of its founder died she saw how time flies and wanted to make her dream come true, to produce her own watches. It didn't take long to create the brand Minute&Azimut which produces very exclusive and unique watches. It was a pleasure to meet her and get to know her story.
Our hotel for the night was the One Aldwych. A luxury hotel with all the things you want to have when you are famous and rich. It was a honor to stay there. We had a room on the 5th floor. So we were able to see the London Eye out of our window. In the evening we got a 3 course menu with champagne. My first course was pork with carrots and honey mustard. Second course consisted of Steak with homemade fries. For dessert I had a chocolate mousse with coconut souflee. It was really delicious. Also the breakfast we had was amazing. No wishes were left unfilled.
Our last and third day in London's Fashion week was unexpectedly really nice. In the morning we saw the presentation of Belstaff. These clothes are amazing. They really fit my style. I did´t expect that they would be so wearable.
After that was the presentation of Wan Hung. We came inside and I saw my really really favorite model of all times. Christian Arno. I think it was the first model I ever followed on Instagram and then, he stood in front of me. It was a real pleasure to see him. The clothes of Wan Hung have been also really nice. Tracksuits, loungewear and underwear.
The trip to London was a really exciting trip and I am happy I had the chance to go there and see all the great people of the fashion industry of the UK. Thanks for having me London Fashion Week. I´m sure we will come back soon.
